The Fryderyk Chopin University Symphony Orchestra consists of excellent young musicians – students of the Instrumental Department of the university. For years, the ensemble has been collaborating with the most outstanding Polish and foreign conductors, including university professors and artistic directors of most Polish philharmonics. Under their direction and with the participation of outstanding soloists (university teachers and invited guests), the orchestra has achieved numerous successes, both on the stage of the university and during concert tours on many stages around the world. The ensemble has also made radio and phonographic recordings. The artistic program of the orchestra is planned in such a way that students can explore the secrets of performing works from different eras, including individual compositional styles within contemporary music.
The UMFC Symphony Orchestra is the only Polish university orchestra with such a large number of classes, which allows students to prepare perfectly for work in professional ensembles.
